That's a wrap! The Maine Playwrights Festival has come to a close. Here's a nice write-up in The Portland Phoenix.
It has been such a privilege to be this year's Playwright-in-Residence for the Maine Playwrights Festival.
I taught a few playwriting workshops, helped host a few events and talkbacks, and watched a terrific reading of my play "Dreams of the Penny Gods."
I got my start as a playwright in the Source Festival in Washington, DC. Festivals that feature local writers serve as a necessary platform for budding writers who might not otherwise have opportunities to see their work staged. Congrats to all the playwrights!
