I'm so proud to be this year's Playwright-in-Residence for the Maine Playwrights' Festival here in Portland!
In my official role, I'm facilitating two talkbacks, one after the reading of the winning plays, and another after the reading of the five runner-ups. I'm also teaching two nights of workshops for the Festival playwrights with a focus on revision.
Additionally, Dan Burson will be directing a reading of my play "Dreams of the Penny Gods" at 7pm on May 2 at Portland Stage. This was my MFA thesis play and is set in Biddeford, Maine. I workshopped it at Snowlion Rep's PlayLab before it had its world premiere in Chicago at Halcyon Theatre, but this will be the first time it's being presented to the public in Maine.
And here is the BroadwayWorld announcement!
